One of the things involved with creating a radio show or podcast is augmenting the show with music. I can’t stress enough how important this element of production is. With that said, I have a new radio show: The Big Idea which needs bumper music. I am searching for someone who can write and record two songs for the show. I’ve scribbled out some potential lyrics below if anyone wants to help me out. Due to budget restrictions. I can’t offer to pay. However, this might be great exposure for songwriters looking to get their name out there.
Norcal
Norcal is my home
Been here for years
The two lane roads
Lined with tacks and fears
We’ve got to do better
Our future is at stake
We can’t clean it up with a rake
We are too big
For our own sake
The people come
From north to south
Where do they go?
Oh where to they go?
We’ve got to do better
Our future is at stake
We can’t clean it up with a rake
So speak out loud
Let your voice heard
For fear of drought
For farms too
Oh what can we do?
Oh what can we do?
We’ve got to do better
Our future is at stake
We can’t clean it up with a rake
The phoenix will rise
Will rise again
But we must plan
With green growth
We’ve got to do better
Our future is at stake
We can’t clean it up with a rake
So Norcal
Future is now
Got no time to stall
Our future is at stake
Our future is at stake
No we can’t clean it up with a rake
We’ve got to do better
We’ve got to do better
Our future is at stake
The End
The end is nigh
It’s time to go
But what a show
What a show
Revolution’s here
In our yard
Got to think
Yes think so hard
It’s in your mind
The truth is plane
So don’t go insane
No don’t go insane
The future is in your brain
SE 12 Ep 12 Getting Some Things Off My Chest
In this episode I talk about my reaction to Hillary Clinton running again. I also talk about my hatred of neoliberalism. I also mention local politics and how Vice Mayor Brown surprised me with a vote after a progressive grassroots campaign. I harken back to my Occupy ambitions and what I would like to see on both the local and national level. I briefly mention some radio production stuff and how as a friend pointed out no one starts out a professional right out of the gate. It takes years of training and experience to get to the professional level. And, even after 12 years I may not be quite there yet. Lastly I mention The Justice for Desmond Campaign and how and why I didn’t call 911 when I was in a mental health crisis last week.
SE 11 Ep 30 CPJC Interview
In this episode I interview Moses and Aramenta of The Chico Peace and Justice Center in Chico California. We talk about their Annual Dinner Fundraiser and what The Chico Peace And Justice Center does for activists of Butte County and the greater Chico area.
